“Die Mynhuis” consists of six spacious rooms, each with its own entrance from the beautiful garden. Every room is named after a Northern Cape mine and the décor is closely linked to the intricate histories of these mines. All rooms are air-conditioned, have en-suite bathrooms, DSTV (selected channels), and complimentary tea and coffee facilities.


Black Rock

Black Rock, the honeymoon suite, is named after the underground manganese mine at Black Rock. (Bath and shower.)

Black Rock can also be used as a family room, in which case the extra person sleeps on the day-bed couch




Copperton is named after the copper mine near Prieska. (Bath and shower.)



Wessels is named after another underground manganese mine near Black Rock. (Shower only.)



Beeshoek is named after the iron ore mine at Postmasburg, and is wheelchair-friendly. It is a family room, and can be booked with a king size bed and a single bed; a king size bed and two bunker beds or 3 single beds.

Beeshoek can also be booked as self-catering unit. Then the extra facilities include a microwave oven, cutlery and crockery.




Sishen is named after the biggest open cast iron ore mine in South Africa, located near Kathu. (Shower only.)



Lyleveld is named after another open cast iron ore mine near Sishen. It is a family unit with two rooms, sharing a bathroom. (Bath and shower.)

The extra room has two single beds, one downstairs and one upstairs in a small loft.
